My stay at Mercure Brigstow Bristol had its highs and lows. I loved the great location overlooking the Floating Harbour, and the room was spacious and comfortable. However, I did notice some wear and tear in the hotel, and I was disappointed with cleanliness standards in certain areas. Overall, it was a pleasant visit, but there's room for improvement.

Rooms

The privilege room I stayed in was spacious and well-designed with modern amenities like a fridge and a TV in the bathroom. However, it felt too hot at times.

The staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful, offering support with booking taxis and even providing scissors for some new purchases I had made.
Location

The hotel’s location was excellent, right in the city center and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and cafes, making it easy to explore Bristol.
Dining

Breakfast was a buffet style with a good variety, offering both full English and continental options, which I found to be good value for money.
Facilities

While the facilities were generally decent, I did find some aspects, like cleanliness, could be improved. The hotel felt a bit dated in some areas.

I had a one-night stay at the Mercure Brigstow Bristol. the location was fantastic, right on the river and close to various attractions. the room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely view. However, I did have a disappointing experience with breakfast and was woken early by construction noise, which detracted from my overall enjoyment.

Rooms
8.0
The room was large and clean, featuring a king bed and a view of the river. it was surprisingly quiet for the location, allowing for a restful night's sleep. Despite showing some signs of age, the modern amenities like the Nespresso machine added a nice touch.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and attentive, making check-in smooth and welcoming. unfortunately, there seemed to be a lack of staff during breakfast, as I couldn't find anyone to address my concerns.
Location
8.0
The hotel is in an excellent area, right next to the river and within a short walking distance to many popular sites. however, I was disturbed early in the morning by loud construction noise from behind the hotel, which was quite frustrating.
Dining
5.0
I was eager to try breakfast after the recent makeover, but it fell short of expectations. the food items were lacking in quality, and the set-up left much to be desired, reflecting poor management.
Facilities
6.0
Certain facilities like room service seemed limited. while I appreciated the modern touches in the room, the overall maintenance felt like it needed a refresh.

I enjoyed the Mercure Brigstow Bristol for its lovely river views and conveniently central location, which made exploring the area easy. However, I felt the service could improve, especially regarding the parking situation and the room cleanliness. Overall, while the experience had its highs, it didn't completely meet my expectations for a four-star hotel. 😊

Rooms

My room had a charming tropical design and was spacious with good amenities. However, I found it outdated in some aspects, and there were cleaning issues I didn’t expect in a hotel of this caliber.
Service
6.0
The reception staff were polite and did their best, but I encountered some confusion regarding my booking and key cards, which was frustrating.
Location
8.0
The location was super convenient, right near local bars and dining options, though a bit noisy at times due to nearby construction.
Dining

Breakfast was decent but could have been better; I was disappointed that my mostly full plate was taken away while I was just refilling my drink.
Facilities

The hotel had a nice layout, but I wish there had been more thoughtful touches, like complimentary drinking water in my room.

I had a somewhat mixed experience at the Mercure Brigstow Bristol. On one hand, the location was fantastic, right by the river and near several attractions. On the other hand, I encountered issues with cleanliness and room conditions that were disappointing. The dining options were decent, but I found the breakfast a bit pricey for what was offered.

Rooms

While I found my double room comfortable and tastefully decorated, I was shocked to discover the mattress heavily urine stained upon checkout the next day. The bathroom cleanliness was also below standard, with an unclean toilet and broken tiles, which really affected my overall experience.
Service

The staff were generally attentive and helpful during my stay. However, I did have an unpleasant encounter with a receptionist who was rude during checkout, which left a bad impression.
Location

The location was ideal, right in the heart of Bristol, close to pubs, restaurants, and various attractions. I appreciated being able to explore the city on foot and found it easy to uncover some local street art.
Dining

Dining at the hotel's restaurant had its highlights, with a decent tapas selection and tasty burgers, though the setting felt a bit lacking in character. I also found the breakfast buffet quite expensive for the choice offered, despite the quality being decent.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered a few modern amenities, but I would have liked more features in my room, such as a fridge. I did appreciate the prompt attention of the staff.

I had a mixed experience at Mercure Brigstow Bristol. The hotel itself is charming with a lovely view over the river and friendly staff. However, the breakfast was a letdown and I faced some issues with cleanliness in the room. While I'd love to return, I'd skip breakfast next time.

The premiere room was clean and a decent size, with modern amenities, but there were some cleanliness issues, like hair in the bathroom. Overall, it felt comfortable but could use a little TLC.

The reception and bar staff were super friendly and helpful, which made my stay really enjoyable. However, the service during dinner was slow, and I had to chase for my dessert.

While the bar had a nice atmosphere, my breakfast experience was quite disappointing with cold coffee and lackluster sausages. I'd recommend checking out nearby breakfast spots instead.
